Poor packaging turns a profitable order into a loss. Spray bottles arriving crushed, scratched, or leaking = chargebacks, returns, and lost customers. Proper export packaging prevents this.

Full container load (FCL) is 40-60% cheaper per unit than LCL (less than container load). Break-even for FCL is typically 15-20 CBM — above this, a dedicated container is cheaper.
Damage Prevention Checklist
- Individual poly bag for each unit (prevents scratching during transit)
- Corrugated dividers between rows (glass bottles mandatory, plastic recommended)
- H-tape sealing on all 6 sides
- Desiccant packets (prevents moisture damage on sea freight)
- "Fragile" and "This Side Up" markings on glass shipments
- Stretch wrap pallets with edge protectors
- Shipping marks: PO number, destination, carton count, weight

Under 0.3% with proper packaging (individual partitions, double-wall cartons, palletized). Higher rates indicate packaging failure, not shipping damage. Always request photos of packaging before shipment.
Should I use FCL or LCL?
FCL if your order exceeds 15 CBM. LCL for smaller orders. While LCL costs more per CBM, you avoid paying for empty container space. For very small orders (under 3 CBM), express courier or air freight may be cheaper than LCL + destination charges.
